Thank you, ET, for pushing back...HARD. The energy industry needed this, especially pipeliners.

Green peace has a legal action in Holland where they are registered. The issue before the court is to recover damages from the company to compensate them for any U.S. court imposed fines, legal fees and assorted damages against Green Peace. Apparently, they stand a good chance of winning in Holland.

Who is the company they are seeking damages from? Energy Transfer?

Yes.

I haven't the faintest idea about the extent of the company's assets or the legal reach of such decisions by a court in Holland. Could the directors of the company be held liable? Would failure to comply with a court order have international arrest warrant possibilities, at least for Europe? Sanctions against companies assisting or benefiting from Energy Transfer? Sanctions against the American oil industry? Against America? I mean we are talking about crimes against humanity in general and genocide in particular. Otherwise the Holland case is just about a heavily litigated judgement rendered over local zoning issues that was delivered in a country far away.

Thanks for that info, ron. It would seem to me that a court in Holland would not have jurisdiction over Energy Transfer that does not have operations in Holland but that may not stop them from trying. Thanks for the info, ron.
