I would like to add - if every reader reaches out to his/her congressperson with comment on this and ask them to just the list - it will help - they won't know what we are thinking unless we tell them - over and over and over - there is no once and done with politicians!
This is our money - tell them how we want them to spend it!
Every single day I sit in meetings that amount to "the IRA is a fucking disaster."
And yet nobody will admit it. Nobody will acknowledge the enormity of the disaster.
Every single thing you don't like about Trump? It's all chump change compared to the three spending bills Biden passed on party line votes.
The IRA has radicalized me. Not just because it's terrible legislation. But because every single "expert" that endorsed it simply will not admit the truth of what they have done. I just sat though a four hour meeting that amounted to "they will do this dumb thing to prevent admitting the IRA is a disaster" vs "they will do something somehow dumber because it allows them to pretend its not a disaster for a little while longer even though it makes an even bigger disaster then the big disaster that option #1 brings".
Like a lot of legislation, the government has to do all sorts of things as follow ons to it, but they basically refuse to do so because its a disaster and they would rather wait for the disaster to unfold and then *maybe* do *something* on the back end to fix it which *might or might not* help your particular situation (but you, private market actor responsible for the P/L, please take a huge chance with no assurances until then).

Absolutely, Joanna! Ed
Amen to that brother!

I hear your frustration, forumposter123. I am curious—who is in the meetings you are in regarding the IRA? No problem if you don't want to say. Ed
The IRA impacts the industry I work in.
