You are welcome and correct that floating wind turbines is a Horrible idea! The "environmentalists" have clarified what they really think about the environment.

this is exactly what is happening. The extent of the corruption is amazing.

You are correct Miles, and it is getting worse and more blatant.

Your take is exactly correct, Ed!

Those chains for floating wind farms must be bigger even than chains for anchoring ships? Not sure what '7 to 1 scope' means, but the thought of those chains scraping along the sea bottom sounds like terrible environment destruction indeed, not to mention the cost and the eyesore. BTW, the deep ocean off the west coast is why we don't have wind farms (yet) off CA, OR, and WA.

I agree, Al, that those chains are an awful idea and devistating for the environment. This is just more proof that "environmentalists" care nothing about the environment. The environment is a cover for their actual agendas, which include Malthusianism as I discussed in my previous article. Thanks for your comments, Al. Ed

“and will be just one in an array of 10 such turbines that would together produce up to 144 megawatts of clean energy.”

There isn’t a chance in hell these things will ever even scratch the surface on producing 144MW. More nameplate rating deception like I see for many other “green” energy companies…

You are absolutely correct, B Apple. I didn't mention the Betz's Law which says that no wind turbine of any mechanism can capture more than 16/27 (59.3%) of the kinetic energy in wind, no matter how tall the structures are or how long the blades are. Ed
