It's almost funny that these unelected bureaucrats think they have all the answers. The same clowns thought ridiculous compact fluorescent bulbs were going to save the world. Oddly the market overcame their draconian mandates and those toxic bulbs are only a memory. LED's to the rescue! I'm so sick and tired of being lectured about my "carbon footprint". In the words of Clint Eastwood I am telling these goons "Get off my lawn (dishwasher, range, ICE powered SUV, etc)"!
Great point, Jim. The people in the federal agencies, such as Department of Energy, know absolutely nothing about energy. Probably none have worked in the energy industry. The only experience many of them have is having been employed by anti-energy NGOs. They hate oil and gas which is why they work at EPA. I agree with you that they should leave us along but they won't. Hopefully the Supreme Court will stop EPA's latest attempt to control how electricity is generated. Ed
Lol I just bought an electric range. No gas service in the heart of the Marcellus field though lots of gas underfoot. Gas royalties paid for the electric range!
Philip, I had that problem myself when we lived in Florida. There were no natural gas lines in the town we lived in. After installing a whole house backup generator, I buried a 250 gallon propane tank and replaced the electric range with a natural gas/propane model. It is interesting and probably frustrating that you live in the heart of the Marcellus field and there are no gas lines. Ed
Ed , as usual your stories are so valuable. We are using your data among others' to write the script to our movie. We must talk! Our email is Producer @NobleFeatures. org. Perhaps, you would consider being an advisor for a stipend on the Texas disaster and the whole US grid. Maggie
Thanks, Maggie. Your movie project sounds very interesting. I would be glad to talk to you about being advisor for a stipend. Let me know when you would like to get together. I will send email to Producer@nobleFeatures.org, Ed
Great piece
Thanks for reading and for your comment, WeissWord. I appreciate it! Ed
